School Report Cards Available
The Texas Education Agency recently released 2014 School Report Cards, which reflect school ratings and performance information related to the state accountability system.
The ratings and academic distinction information were originally available and reported in August. The School Report Cards provide additional information for parents and staff to better understand how school ratings were determined.
To see an RISD School Report Card, visit the district accountability page and select a school from the green drop down menu.

Thank you Miss Texas Monique Evans for inspiring our students!
Schayot To Coordinate Berkner Area Fine Arts
Jason Schayot has been named Fine Arts Coordinator and Director of Bands at L.V. Berkner High School, effective January 5, 2015. Mr. Schayot has been the associate director of bands at Berkner since 2011 and is completing his 18th year in education. He is a product of Richardson ISD, having attended Jess Harben, Hamilton Park, Richardson Junior High and Richardson High School.
In his new role, he will oversee fine arts across the Berkner High School feeder pattern and also direct the BHS Mighty Ram Band.
The safety of students and staff is the top priority when poor weather creates hazardous travel conditions.
In the event that travel conditions may require classes be delayed or cancelled, parents and employees will be notified directly by telephone message before 6:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to ensure their child's campus has up-to-date contact information.
In addition, stakeholders can check the RISD homepage, the district Facebook page or the district Twitter feed. RISD also notifies local media outlets of closures or delays.
If unsure, parents, employees and students should assume a normal school day unless notified of a closure or delay by RISD. The district does not send a message verifying a normal operating day.
