Instructional technology support is provided through the district Library Media Centers, the Research and Preview Library and Teacher Production Center.

Library media specialists receive special training in order to offer students, teachers and building staff appropriate direction relating to technology support materials.

The library program is an integral part of the instructional program and provides the following electronic resources to support the curriculum, goals, and objectives of the district:

  • RISD Online Catalog
  • Nettrekker
  • Gale Resources
  • Ebsco
  • Proquest
  • Electric Library
  • United Streaming
  • Tumblebooks
  • ABC-CLIO
  • Maps 101
  • Bridges & E-Choices (career)
  • World Book Online
  • World and I

The newer electronic resources and other established resources all benefit students and teachers by providing avenues for exploration, discovery, and creativity.
