Elementary Instructional Technology
Elementary Instructional Technology is responsible for the implementation
of technology applications as defined in the Technology Application TEKS
K-6 (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills). Specific responsibilities
include:
- Supporting instruction through services to the teachers
at the campus and district level.
- Supporting instruction through collaborative efforts
with Instructional Support Services.
- Providing Technology Applications Curriculum that is
integrated into the Core Curriculum.
- Supporting Core Curriculum instruction through fostering and
supporting classroom Core Curriculum Technology Centers (classroom student stations)
for diversified reinforcement and enrichment strategies.
- Supporting Library Media Services and Technology Staff Development.
- Facilitating meetings and/or training for Instructional
Technology Support Staff (Tech Assistants) and Technology Contact Teachers.
- Planning and delivering Summer Technology Academies.
- Developing and overseeing elementary standard software
load.
