For 42 years, Lake Highlands High School students have distinguished themselves in academic, extracurricular, and leadership activities. Many LHHS graduates occupy positions of leadership in business, government, religion and education. Wildcat exes have also contributed significantly to many fields of endeavor including: law, medicine, engineering, finance, military science, the visual and performing arts, and professional athletics. Part of the reason for the tradition of excellence at Lake Highlands High School is the expectation of success shared by the community, parents, faculty members, and students. Although the following list does not include every honor or award in the school’s history, it is certainly a representative sample:

Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Information provided by the campus

Numerous parent volunteer opportunities are available at Lake Highlands High School including: PTA committees such as teacher recognition and student perfect attendance; local school council; library; counselor's office (during registration volunteers are especially needed); mentoring and tutoring students who are experiencing academic difficulty; food service in the cafeteria; nurse's office; attendance office; senior activities i.e., prom, senior show, all-night party; plus numerous booster clubs including academic decathlon, athletic, band, choir, drill team, and western dance; TAAS math, reading, writing tutoring; SAT/ ACT test preparation tutoring.
