TURKEYS FOR TERRACE ELEMENTARY
CVS Caremark Corporation volunteers prepare to hand out turkey feasts to 54 Terrace Elementary Families.
Fifty-four Terrace families enjoyed turkey feasts this Thanksgiving provided by the CVS Caremark Corporation. Each family received a box with a turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and delicious pies to feed a family of eight.

This is Caremark’s first year as a partner with RISD, and since August, they have helped every school by providing schools supplies through the RISD Back-to-School Fair.

This truly is the beginning of a great partnership!
AT&T INSPIRES EIGHT OF RISD'S HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
AVID students attended the Latina Leadership Luncheon courtesy of AT&T.
The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber recently held their inaugural La Cima Awards Latina Leadership Luncheon and invited eight Latina seniors from RISD AVID classes to attend. AT&T’s Director of External Affairs, Martha Rocha, invited the young ladies to attend this luncheon and sponsored a $1,000 table for the girls at the event.

These amazing seniors celebrated with the La Cima Emerging Leader, Veronica Torres, the La Cima Volunteer Leader, Sandy Salinas, and the La Cima Advocacy Leader, Marissa Anchia who were honored at the luncheon.

In addition, to the girls’ surprise, when they arrived they were greeted by Channel 8 News anchor Gloria Campos, who was the mistress of ceremonies. Ms. Campos took time to provide advice to the young ladies before and after the luncheon.

Thank you AT&T for inspiring and helping reward our students for their accomplishments. >Top

ASSIST-TO-SELL AND SKYVIEW ELEMENTARY CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING
Skyview students collect food for their Thanksgiving food drive.
Skyview Elementary celebrated Thanksgiving by having a food drive! Skyview students brought Thanksgiving dinner items to school, and each class made their own “Turkey Box.” Students, staff, parents, and volunteers organized the food and filled each box with the items a family would need for a Thanksgiving dinner. Assist-To-Sell Realtors donated turkeys and hams, and 25 Skyview families then received the Turkey Boxes to take home! >Top
