More than 850 students from 37 schools showed off their creativity in RISD's 28th annual Invention Convention.
Inventions were judged on uniqueness, usefulness, research, construction/design, salesmanship and effectiveness of display. The district Invention Convention recognizes outstanding inventors from each RISD school, and provides them with the opportunity to present their inventions to each other and the public. They were judged by representatives from event sponsors, local elected officials and area business representatives.
Major Award Winners from this year's Invention Convention include:
- Best in Show - Know Your States, Ashley Garcia, Audelia Creek Elementary, 3rd Grade
- Most Patentable - Tickle Me Doggie, David Allsup, Arapaho Classical Magnet, 5th Grade
