9th and 10 Grade EOC Summer Program
Dates:
Session 1 – June 10-20, 2014
Session 2 – June 23 - July 3, 2014
Times: 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Brunch will be served)
Location: Richardson High School

Registration: Monday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Richardson High School
Late registration will be held on Tuesday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
End of Course Exams:  July 7-11 at Richardson High School

EOC Retake Schedule Changed
Only students who were unsuccessful on English I (Reading/ Writing), English II (Reading / Writing), Algebra I, Biology or U.S. History EOCs should retake the exam in July.

This development has also changed the previously-published July schedule of EOC retake opportunities. The new schedule is:

If your student is not attending an EOC Summer Intervention Program they should pre-register using RPortal. Once logged in, click on the "July STAAR EOC Registration" link.

All EOC retake opportunities will be held at Richardson High School, 1250 W. Belt Line Rd. Students must arrive by 7:30am; testing will begin at 8:00 and students will not be admitted once testing has begun. Students should get a good night's sleep before each test date.

On the day of the test, be sure to bring three sharpened #2 pencils and a current school or state ID.

Bridging the Gap
Dates: June 10-June 23, 2014
Times: 7:50 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
Location: Westwood Junior High

Registration will be through the elementary schools. See elementary counselor for details.

ALL SUMMER PROGRAM REMEDIATION CLASSES WILL BE FEE BASED. EOC SUMMER PROGRAM IS A FREE PROGRAM.

STAAR Retest for 8th grade Math will be on Tuesday, June 24 and Reading will be on Wednesday, June 25 at Westwood Junior High School.

Registration for SSI will be done at Westwood Junior High on Saturday, June 7th.  7th grade will register from 8:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 8th grade will register from1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  No Tuition

Summer Program High School Graduation for Seniors who have successfully completed the requirements for graduation may participate in the Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Richardson High School Auditorium.

All non-RISD students must bring a current report card or transcript. If parent or legal guardian is living in RISD, proof of residency must be brought as well. Non-RISD student is defined as: student who is not attending an RISD school. This would include – home schooled, private schooled, charter schools, other Texas school districts or out of state school districts.

No student who is a May, June 2014 or earlier graduate will be enrolled.

 

RISD Course Offerings
Proper course selection is the student’s responsibility. Students are strongly encouraged to consult the RISD Secondary Program of Studies, their school counselor and specified teacher(s) for answers to questions concerning course selection and/or prerequisites as well as RISD graduation requirements. RISD summer program staff will be glad to assist, but cannot be responsible for student course selection.
