Richardson ISD annually announces STARS (Superior Teaching Achievements in RISD) teachers of the year through surprise classroom visits each spring.
The RISD Excellence in Education Foundation, the district's non-profit foundation working directly for all RISD students and staff, administers the selection and recognition of the STARS teachers. The STARS Teacher winners are nominated by their RISD schools and are honored at the Excellence in Education Foundation Gala and the REA/Board of Trustees Banquet. |
