The Technology Staff Development office provides training and support for RISD employees in the utilization of computers and related technologies. The continuous and pervasive advancements inherent with technology demand that technology staff development be significant and ongoing.
To support the diverse needs of faculty to acquire comprehensive technology support while meeting technology guidelines as established by the Texas Education Agency, RISD provides multiple technology staff development options. Districtwide sessions representing over one hundred course titles are presently offered to establish foundational as well as advanced skills in both tool applications and the integration of technology within curriculum areas.
Site-based sessions serve as a timely and expedient approach for accomplishing training needs at the campus/program level. Customized training is developed in areas requiring program specialization. Flexible scheduling options for staff development courses have proven to be popular and accommodating for the District. Online courses are available for anywhere, anytime staff development options. |
