The Richardson Independent School District offers a diverse athletic program to provide interested students with a wide variety of team and individual sports from which to choose. Participation in interscholastic athletic competition is a privilege that offers students an enriched school experience, the possibility of scholarship opportunities, and development of lifetime leisure skills. RISD's goal is for athletic experiences to play an enjoyable and rewarding role in your child's school life. Support and encouragement from parents is integral to ensuring that goal is achieved.
Senior Citizens, age 55 and older, that live within RISD boundaries are eligible for a senior citizen pass that allows them to attend athletic, fine arts and other extracurricular events at no charge (excluding varsity football games). Please come by the central athletic office to obtain a pass. The central athletic office is located in the annex building just south of the administration building at 400 South Greenville Avenue. Current drivers license is required to verify age and residence. For more information please call 469-593-0124.
